Job summary

Wise Group in Hamilton is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist people with daily living skills and budgeting, while fostering meaningful connections in their communities. The role is permanent, full-time with a Tuesday–Saturday 7:00am–3:30pm shift.

You will advocate for individuals, attend appointments, and may help them connect with their communities. The job may involve tasks like cleaning, cooking, and personal care to support daily living.

Qualifications

  • Must hold current full New Zealand Driver Licence.
  • Must hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one.
  • Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or recognised equivalent).
  • Able to be flexible and available for varying shifts.
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Responsibilities

  • Be busy supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills.
  • Attending appointments and advocating for people.
  • Might be assisting people to connect with their communities.
  • Be prepared to do whatever it takes for the people we support - cleaning, cooking, gardening, personal care or helping with everyday tasks.

The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

This is a permanent, full-time role based in Kirikiriroa Hamilton. You will be working Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.

In this role you will:
