Job summary

ASB Bank is seeking a Head of Strategy, Performance and Operations for Advice Centres & Private Banking. You will turn strategy into actionable plans, leading frontline engagement, capability and performance, including Coaching Leads, Retail Schools and Community Bankers, to deliver strong customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to translate strategy into delivery through practical initiatives.
• Deep banking/financial services background.
• Understanding of Advice Centre operations.
• Proven risk management leadership with ownership of risk culture and remediation.
• Experience leading large teams with budget control.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the GM to translate strategy into action and deliver change.
• Lead strategic projects across Advice Centres and Private Banking.
• Own Line 1 risk accountability, strengthening risk culture, controls and remediation.
• Lead operating model implementation, annual planning, priorities and resource allocation.
• Shape Quarterly Priorities to lift Home Ownership, Customer NPS and other outcomes.
• Set and prioritise the network’s innovation and AI agenda.
• Lead teams supporting frontline engagement, capability and performance (Coaching Leads, Retail Schools, Community Bankers).
• Connect frontline leaders, project teams and the GM to ensure clear, coordinated change.
• Support Integrated Distribution and United Workforce transformation, aligning capacity with demand.
• Establish a clear operating rhythm for informed GM decisions.
• Use MI and analytics to support resourcing and investment decisions.
• Drive financial and productivity performance in line with annual plans.
