Job summary

The Redoubt Bar and Eatery Te Awamutu is seeking two full-time Duty Managers to lead the bar and restaurant operations. You will manage shifts, coordinate staff, and ensure exceptional hospitality across service periods.

Ideal candidates have hospitality experience, strong customer service, and the ability to work under pressure. LCQ and manager certification are preferred; visa/work rights are required.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months hospitality/customer service/retail experience with at least 3 months in hospitality
• LCQ qualifications and manager certificate preferred for liquor service

Responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming environment in bar & restaurant
• Keep up to date with liquor licensing laws
• Follow health and safety rules for staff and customers
• Carry out daily cleaning with the team
• Upsell food and beverages and present bar items attractively
• Receive payments and operate POS
• Replenish stock and bar displays
• Shift and stock management with senior managers
• Assist Management with staff training and recruitment
• Assist with menu planning and drinks changes
• Support Cost Controls, Budgeting and stock handling

Wage/Salary- $27 to $29 an hr

Job Type – Permanent Full-time

Position – 2 X Full Time Bar & Restaurant Duty Managers

You will be required to work a minimum of 32 hours/week. Maximum working hours - 45/week.

Qualification/Work Experience

To be successful you will need to have 6-12 months of experience in hospitality/customer service/retail including at least thee months in hospitality

Candidate with LCQ qualifications and manager certificate will be preferred for this role as this is essential to serve liquor in the establishment.

Responsibilities

• Receiving payments from patrons and operate POS.
• Getting staff to replenish stock and bar display.
• Shift management and stock management with senior managers
• Help Management with staff training and recruitment
• Assisting Restaurant & Bar Manager with menu planning and drinks menu changes time to time
• Helping Bar Manager & Restaurant Manager with Cost Controls, Budgeting and Stock Handling
