Om Ganesh Shiv Sai Ltd t/a The Redoubt Bar and Eatery Te Awamutu, New Zealand is seeking two full-time Bar & Restaurant Duty Managers to lead shifts, manage staff and uphold service standards in a busy hospitality venue.

This role requires weekend and late-night work, 32–45 hours weekly, LCQ/manager certificates preferred for liquor service, with duties including licensing compliance, stock control, and cost awareness.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months hospitality/customer service experience, including at least 3 months in hospitality.
• LCQ qualifications and manager certificate preferred for liquor service.
• Weekend, late-night and public holiday work required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming environment at the bar and restaurant at all times.
• Keep up to date with liquor licensing legislation and compliance.
• Follow health and safety rules to protect staff and customers.
• Lead daily cleaning schedule with the team.
• Upsell beverages and food to customers; make recommendations.
• Prepare and serve bottled beverages, cocktails, mocktails, etc.
• Receive payments and operate the POS system.
• Assist with staff recruitment, training and stock management.
• Support Menu planning and drinks menu changes with management.
• Assist with cost controls, budgeting and stock handling.

Position – 2 X Full Time Bar & Restaurant Duty Managers

We are looking for 2 X Bar & Restaurant Duty Managers to join our excellent hospitality venue in Te Awamutu. This position requires working on weekends and late nights and public holidays. We are 25 minutes from Hamilton CBD and a well established bar and eatery since 1999.

You will be required to work a minimum of 32 hours/week. Maximum working hours - 45/week.

Qualification/Work Experience

To be successful you will need to have 6-12 months of experience in hospitality/customer service/retail including at least thee months in hospitality

Candidate with LCQ qualifications and manager certificate will be preferred for this role as this is essential to serve liquor in the establishment.

Your responsibilities may include the following

• Maintaining a welcome environment within the bar & restaurant at all times.

• Carrying out the daily cleaning schedule within the bar with team
• Bring food and beverage elements of the bar in an attractive way to customers and use upselling where needed.

• Prepare and Serve bottled alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, mocktails etc.
• Receiving payments from patrons and operate POS.
• Getting staff to replenish stock and bar display.
• Shift management and stock management with senior managers
• Help Management with staff training and recruitment
• Assisting Restaurant & Bar Manager with menu planning and drinks menu changes time to time
• Helping Bar Manager & Restaurant Manager with Cost Controls, Budgeting and Stock Handling
