Job summary

The Redoubt Bar and Eatery Te Awamutu invites applications for 2 x Bar & Restaurant Duty Managers. You will lead service, manage shifts, and uphold licensing and safety standards in a busy hospitality venue.

Candidates should have 6–12 months in hospitality or customer service, LCQ and manager certificates preferred. Weekend, late-night and public holiday work is required; reliable, punctual and team-oriented applicants only.

Qualifications

• 6-12 months of hospitality/customer service/retail experience, including at least 3 months in hospitality.
• LCQ qualifications and manager certificate preferred for liquor service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming environment in bar and restaurant at all times.
• Keep up to date with licensing laws and liquor regulations.
• Follow health and safety rules to ensure staff and customer safety.
• Carry out daily cleaning schedule in the bar with the team.
• Upsell beverages and food, and make recommendations to customers.
• Assist with stock replenishment and bar display.
• Shift management and stock management with senior managers.
• Assist Management with staff training and recruitment.
• Help with menu planning and drinks menu changes.
• Support Bar Manager & Restaurant Manager with cost controls and budgeting.

• Position – 2 X Full Time Bar & Restaurant Duty Managers

We are looking for 2 X Bar & Restaurant Duty Managers to join our excellent hospitality venue in Te Awamutu. This position requires working on weekends and late nights and public holidays. We are 25 minutes from Hamilton CBD and a well established bar and eatery since 1999.

You will be required to work a minimum of 32 hours/week. Maximum working hours - 45/week.

Qualification/Work Experience

Candidate with LCQ qualifications and manager certificate will be preferred for this role as this is essential to serve liquor in the establishment.

Your responsibilities may include the following

• Assisting Restaurant & Bar Manager with menu planning and drinks menu changes time to time
• Helping Bar Manager & Restaurant Manager with Cost Controls, Budgeting and Stock Handling
