Job summary

Auckland City GY CONSTRUCTION LIMITED is seeking an energetic Business Development Manager to drive growth in the New Zealand SME market. Based in Auckland, you will lead BD and sales for real‑estate system development, web development, and ongoing technical support services, building long-term merchant relationships across sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, B2B sales, merchant services, payments, POS, EFTPOS, telecommunications or technology is preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Confident approaching business owners and developing new relationships.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working toward sales targets.
• Good understanding of the New Zealand SME market.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a growing team.
• A valid New Zealand driver's licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new SME customers across Auckland and wider New Zealand.
• Promote our POS, EFTPOS, payment and digital business solutions.
• Conduct face-to-face meetings, product demonstrations and merchant visits.
• Develop relationships with business owners and key decision-makers.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from prospecting through to onboarding.
• Develop referral and strategic partnership channels.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Work closely with operations, technology and customer-support teams.
• Achieve agreed customer acquisition and revenue targets.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing SME customers and identify opportunities for further growth.
