Job summary

JobSpace in Wellington is seeking a Site Engineer with hands-on water treatment or wastewater project experience to lead the installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment on a major infrastructure site.

The role requires 2-3+ years on-site experience and a mechanical or civil engineering qualification, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery. The successful candidate will coordinate on-site activities and collaborate with subcontractors and project teams.

Working for a leading infrastructure contractor as a mechanical site engineer, taking the lead on the installation on a major water infrastructure project.

An exciting opportunity is available with a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a major water treatment plant upgrade in the Wellington region.

We're looking for a Site Engineer with hands-on experience in water treatment or wastewater projects, particularly the installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, and associated infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical background who enjoys working on site and is keen to develop their career within the civil infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage construction activities on site

About You

• Mechanical / Civil engineering (or related) qualification
• Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
• Based in New Zealand with the right to work here
