ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to work on a water infrastructure project in Edgecumbe, Bay of Plenty. Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in water/wastewater or similar infra projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and QA/QC procedures.
• Proactive, hands-on with strong communication and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project delivery to programme, budget and quality standards.
• Assist in final stages of mechanical, electrical, and commissioning works on a WWTW project.
• Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Track costs, review subcontractor claims, and manage valuations.
• Ensure QA, safety and environmental compliance.
• Communicate with engineers, supervisors, and project managers for smooth execution.
• Support a collaborative and safe team environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in water, wastewater, or similar infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, engineering principles, and QA/QC procedures.
• Hands-on, proactive approach with excellent communication and team leadership skills.
• Solutions-focused mindset with ambition to take on increased responsibility.
