Job summary

Ravensdown in Christchurch is seeking a Service Operations Engineer to join our IT team. The role provides advanced operational support and serves as the escalation point between the Service Desk and Systems Engineering, ensuring reliable service delivery.

You will thrive in a busy environment, with 3–5 years in IT operations or related roles, and will contribute to continuous process improvement while supporting end users and internal customers across our systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in IT Operations, Service Desk, Infrastructure Support or Systems administration roles.
• Strong relationship builder with end users and teams.
• Calm under pressure with strong time management and multitasking.
• Focus on process improvement and delivery of service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced operational support across Ravensdown's IT environment and act as key escalation point between Service Desk and Systems Engineering teams.
• Resolve complex incidents, perform standard operational activities and improve service reliability.
• Collaborate with Service Desk and Systems Engineers to reduce operational risk and increase efficiency.
