You'll be responsible for ensuring jobs flow efficiently from booking through to completion, while making sure customers are kept informed and technicians have the support and resources they need to do their best work. You'll be the face of the Workshop, building strong relationships with customers and ensuring they feel informed, listened to and looked after throughout their experience. Supported by our Group Service Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the workshop, lead your team and make a genuine impact on its continued success.

Key responsibilities
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with customers, technicians, other departments, suppliers and management.
  • Manage customer enquiries, estimates, progress updates and invoicing with professionalism and a customer-first approach.
  • Lead and manage the workshop team, providing direction and support.
  • Plan, book and allocate jobs to technicians to ensure the workshop operates efficiently and to schedule.
  • Coordinate and prioritise urgent repairs and changing workshop demands.
  • Ensure job cards, workshop records and related documentation are completed accurately.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to technicians and apprentices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workshop systems, efficiency and productivity.
  • Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture within the workshop.
  • Foster a positive, professional team environment where people are supported to perform at their best.
About you
  • Is an excellent communicator who can confidently communicate with a wide range of people, customers, technicians, suppliers and senior management.
  • Is confident having difficult or challenging conversations and can remain professional, calm and solutions-focused.
  • Has strong technical knowledge and understands the workshop environment.
  • Is confident using computer systems and has solid administrative skills.
  • Is comfortable working in a hands-on environment, not just behind a desk.
  • Is reliable and organised.
  • Has proven leadership skills and experience leading others in a workshop environment.
  • Is a qualified motorcycle technician or has a relevant qualification within the automotive industry.
  • A clean, manual, NZ driver's licence.
  • Competitive remuneration reflecting your experience and skills.
  • Ongoing training and career development opportunities with active support.
  • The opportunity to improve systems that drive productivity and success.
  • Supportive management and owners who value initiative and leadership.
  • A friendly and supportive team environment.
  • Staff discounts on all in store products.
  • Uniform and PPE provided.
  • A workplace that values work-life balance.
