Job summary

MAS - Medical Assurance Society is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to strengthen our cloud, infrastructure and DevOps capabilities across our technology environment. The role focuses on reliability, performance, and resilience while supporting delivery of technology initiatives within the Information Technology team.

You will collaborate with engineering, delivery, security and operations to advance modern DevOps practices and automation, helping upgrades, monitoring and incident response

Qualifications

• Experience supporting and administering enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms or hybrid environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and related cloud technologies.
• Experience with automation and scripting technologies such as PowerShell.
• Strong skills in CI/CD Pipelines, infrastructure as code and DevOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting production systems.
• An understanding of security, monitoring, resilience and operational best practice.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving.

Looking for an opportunity to make a real impact while working with modern cloud technologies, automation and DevOps practices?
At MAS, we're on a journey of continuous improvement across our technology environment, and we're looking for a skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role, you'll help ensure our platforms, infrastructure and cloud services remain secure, reliable and fit for the future while supporting the delivery of technology initiatives across the business.
The role can be based in either Auckland or Wellington and sits within our Information Technology team, reporting to the Systems Engineer Team Leader.
About The Role
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll work across infrastructure, cloud services, automation and operational support, helping to improve the reliability, performance and resilience of MAS technology services. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, delivery, security and operations teams to support modern DevOps practices and contribute to the continued evolution of our technology environment.
Key Responsibilities Include
