Job summary

Epic Hospitality in Central Wellington is seeking a Senior Security Host to join our vibrant bar group. You will help create a safe, welcoming environment across Shady Lady, Vinyl Bar, Saint Diablo, Eva, and El Barrio, ensuring guest comfort while promoting our offerings.

A COA is required, and you must be available Friday and Saturday evenings until 4 am. We value diversity, promote progression, and offer training and benefits including a weekly revenue share bonus and access to wellness

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a similar security position.
• Current COA (License to Work with Alcohol) or equivalent required.
• Friendly, outgoing, and able to promote offerings to guests.
• Comfortable working late evenings (Friday and Saturday until 4 am).

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, welcoming environment across venues.
• Promote food and beverage offerings to guests.
• Respond to incidents and manage crowd control as needed.

Epic Hospitality owns and operates a group of pubs and bars in Central Wellington. Our sites are vibrant, funky, and exciting places to work and socialise. They're a little bit quirky too - we've put a lot of love and care into creating them. Shady Lady, Vinyl Bar, and Saint Diablo are located on Courtenay Place, and Eva and El Barrio are located on Dixon Street. All five of our sites are vibrant and busy local bars that support a strong sense of diverse community.

About the role

We are on the hunt for an experienced and energetic Senior Security Host to join our vibrant and dynamic crew. Your natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life will make you a real asset to our group culture. We fully embrace diversity and thrive on an inclusive team and guest atmosphere. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent experience in similar security roles and be well-trained in reducing alcohol harm, as well as have a passion for creating safe, supportive, and welcoming environments. The successful applicant must have a current COA, and be available to work Friday and Saturday evenings until 4 am. You must be outgoing and comfortable to help promote our offerings and bring guests into our venues.
