Luxury Orthopaedic Beds Limited – Hamilton, North Island
Luxury Orthopaedic Beds – Hamilton-based, full-time
Play a pivotal role in the success of New Zealand’s fastest-growing bed brand — owning the day-to-day operations while driving sales and growth. This is not a corporate “sit back and delegate” role — it’s a hands‑on position where you’ll balance sales, office management, logistics, and customer care, while looking for ways to grow the business and improve how we operate.
At Luxury Orthopaedic Beds, we don’t just sell beds — we help Kiwis sleep better, live better, and feel their best every day. Our NZ‑made Orthopaedic beds are science‑backed, endorsed by health experts, and trusted by thousands of satisfied customers nationwide.
We operate a hybrid model: a Hamilton-based premium showroom alongside a fast‑scaling Shopify‑powered e‑commerce business. Your role will be at the heart of it all — ensuring every process runs smoothly, every customer is happy, and the business keeps growing.
This role is full‑time onsite (Monday to Friday).
What you’ll do
- Grow the business — take an active role in strengthening our e‑commerce presence, building referral and repeat‑customer programs, and supporting sales beyond the showroom.
- Lead from the front with sales — serve walk‑in customers, answer enquiries, and confidently close sales of premium beds (by phone/messaging etc), setting the pace for the team.
- Run the office — take ownership of daily operations by ensuring all orders are accurate and processed on time, organising freight and delivery schedules, motivating and supporting the team, and keeping the showroom running at a high standard. You’ll also handle customer paperwork (payments, finance applications, and refunds) and maintain accurate reconciliations and records — making sure the business runs like clockwork.
- Handle aftersales — manage customer queries with professionalism, draft clear responses, and resolve issues fairly and efficiently — protecting our reputation for care and quality.
- Oversee operations — coordinate with suppliers, check stock levels regularly, order stock as required, complete inventory checks, and ensure showroom and warehouse accuracy so the right product reaches the right customer on time.
- Grow the business — take an active role in strengthening our e‑commerce presence, building referral and repeat‑customer programs, and supporting sales beyond the showroom.
- Be the backbone of the business — balancing hands‑on tasks with leadership responsibility, setting the tone for service, efficiency, and growth.
What you’ll bring
- 2+ years’ experience in a senior sales and office management leadership role.
- A proven ability to sell high‑value products and hit targets with confidence.
- Strong organisational skills with the discipline to manage orders, stock, payments, and records accurately.
- A customer‑first mindset — comfortable handling both happy customers and difficult situations.
- A hands‑on leadership style — you lead by example, whether it’s closing a sale, organising a delivery, or assisting with promotions.
- Ambition to grow — motivated not just to manage, but to help expand a premium brand and its fast‑growing e‑commerce business.
- Adaptability and resilience — you thrive in a fast‑paced, growing business where no two days look the same.
