Job summary

Space King is seeking a confident, home-based coordinator in Auckland who can follow up quotes, answer questions and convert inquiries into sales. You will manage deliveries, bookings and invoicing while keeping CRM records up to date.

You will handle order handovers, coordinate with drivers, and support admin tasks across the business as it grows. This role starts casual with potential to shift to part-time and broader responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service, sales or coordination.
• Track record of following up and converting enquiries into results.
• Experience with CRM, accounting or job-management software.
• Confident on the phone and sales-minded.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with spreadsheets.
• Auckland-based, able to work from home and come to Silverdale as needed.

Location: Auckland - work from home, with some days at our Silverdale office

Work type: Casual to start, with potential to move to part-time. Hours vary with demand

Space King is growing, and we're looking for a sharp, switched-on person to grow with us. Our owner currently looks after the sales, and as we expand her handling the email and online side over to you, you'll follow up those customers' quotes by phone, answer their questions, and turn them into sales. From there you'll own each job once it's confirmed. Booking deliveries, repairs, pick-ups and moves, and seeing them through to the day. It's an open role in a growing business, with real scope to take on more and grow as we do. If you're confident on the phone, quick on your feet, and like turning a maybe into a yes, this could suit you.

About us

Space King is a well-established New Zealand portable buildings company, with yards in Waipū, Silverdale and Putāruru. We design and build cabins and portable buildings for residential and commercial customers.

Quote follow-up & sales

• Call customers to follow up their email/online quotes, the core of the role - answering questions and helping them decide
• Win sales off the back of those follow-ups (there's real scope here for the right person)
• Answer product and pricing questions and guide customers to the right building (We'll train you on the range)
• Keep the CRM up to date so every quote and lead is tracked and followed through
• Handle incoming enquiries by phone and email/online, warmly and promptly

Delivery & job coordination

• Take the handover once a customer confirms, and be their contact for the booking
• Explain to the customer how our delivery process works
• Check in Xero that the transport quote is paid in full and correct
• Work out when the building will be available, and match the customer's preferred date with driver availability
• Book deliveries, repairs, pick-ups and building moves in Tradify, and follow up so they happen on the booked date
• Once delivered, check the driver has uploaded the delivery form with the contract, ID and all fields completed
• Set up weekly invoicing in Xero and move completed jobs into the completed section in Tradify
• On pick-ups: check the team's Tradify forms, move stock back to available, switch off auto-invoices, and email the customer their balance
• Arrange building moves for existing customers, including the transport quote and lodging the move
• Help customers find a suitable third-party hiab operator where needed (we deliver by trailer), keep a running list of good operators by region
• Escalate to the owner when a delivery date can't be made to work or a payment decision is needed

General admin

• Pick up the general admin work that comes in across the business each week, prioritizing it alongside the booking work

What we're after

This role suits someone with real experience under their belt, it's not an entry-level position.

• Proven experience in a customer service, sales, or coordination role
• A track record of following up and converting enquiries, quotes or leads into results
• Confident using business systems day-to-day - you've worked with CRM, accounting or job-management software before (We'll train you on ours: Xero, Tradify and Excel)
• Sharp and quick on your feet, you read a customer well and know what to say
• Confident on the phone and genuinely sales-minded, you enjoy the follow-up and the win
• Excellent written and spoken English, you'll be calling and emailing customers all day
• Good, confident Excel skills, you can work comfortably in spreadsheets
• Onto it and organised, you follow through without being chased and make sure things happen on the day
• Accurate and careful, you'll handle payment checks, bookings and invoicing where a mistake can cost a building
• Comfortable juggling several jobs at once, prioritising, and adapting as the business grows
• Auckland-based, able to work from home and come in to Silverdale as needed

We're an expanding business still shaping this role, so it starts casual, hours vary with what's on.
