Job summary

WSP in New Zealand is seeking a Senior or Principal Engineer to lead asset management and network performance initiatives for transportation projects in the Thames-Coromandel region, working closely with a key client five days a week in a fully embedded capacity.

You will deliver strategic advice, data-driven analysis and practical solutions, manage scope and risk, build client relationships, and help grow asset information management and data services across the region.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 8–10 years of professional civil engineering experience in asset management and network performance.
• Experience in project management, client engagement and business development.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status or progress towards accreditation.
• Local government and NZTA experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of asset management and data analytics standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic asset management and network performance advisory services across transportation infrastructure projects.
• Deliver specialist asset information management advice, technical guidance, data analytics and asset management deliverables.
• Apply relevant asset management standards, legislation, codes of practice, NZ Standards and emerging ISO standards.
• Undertake technical reviews and verification activities, and develop practical solutions to client challenges.
• Lead the delivery of asset management projects, managing scope, programme, budget, quality, risk, and client outcomes.
• Provide project leadership across multidisciplinary teams, coordinating resources and monitoring performance.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders, supporting growth of asset management and data services.
