Job summary

New Zealand Police is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Business Case Lead role, based in Wellington or Auckland. This fixed-term, full-time position runs to 30 June 2027 and supports delivery of high-quality business cases to improve frontline services.

You will oversee BBC-compliant processes, manage resources, and contribute to budgeting and governance reporting while engaging with iwi, communities and partners.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and ability to influence and engage teams, partners and communities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record in delivering BBCs and business cases.
• Project management certification (Prince2, PMP) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver BBC-compliant business cases across project phases.
• Contribute to budget bid and investment planning information.
• Plan for and manage team resources to ensure timely delivery.
• Produce timely and accurate project, programme and governance reporting.
