Job summary

New Zealand Police is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Business Case Lead role, based in Wellington or Auckland. This fixed-term, full-time position runs to 30 June 2027 and supports delivery of high-quality business cases to improve frontline services.

You will oversee BBC-compliant processes, manage resources, and contribute to budgeting and governance reporting while engaging with iwi, communities and partners.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager level business case professional to lead and manage the successful delivery of better business cases across New Zealand Police. Key Accountabilities

• Plan and deliver BBC-compliant business cases across the various phases of the Treasury BBC methodology
• Contribute to Budget bid and investment planning information
• Plan for and manage team resources to ensure successful and timely delivery
• Production of timely and accurate project, programme and governance reporting.

• Project Management certification (Prince2, PMP etc) or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of several delivery methods and techniques.
• Good working knowledge of project governance

Utu ā-tau | Salary

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence at $142,124 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
