Job summary

New Zealand Police is seeking an experienced Business Case Lead to deliver BBC-compliant business cases across New Zealand Police. The role is based in Wellington or Auckland and involves leading senior project management activities to improve frontline and community outcomes.

The successful candidate will manage multi-priority delivery, influence stakeholders, and apply governance and BBC methodologies. Fixed-term until 30 June 2027 with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated delivery of business cases and projects.
• Prince2 or PMP certification or equivalent experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work independently or with teams.
• Knowledge of Treasury BBC methodology and BBC-compliant business cases.
• Willingness to enrol in a leadership programme when advertised.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver BBC-compliant business cases across all BBC phases.
• Contribute to Budget bid and investment planning information.
• Plan for and manage team resources to ensure timely delivery.
• Produce timely and accurate project, programme and governance reporting.
