Job summary

Ministry of Justice - New Zealand seeks a senior Project Manager to lead Case Services projects on a permanent basis. You will direct cross-functional teams, drive governance reporting, and deliver complex initiatives on time and within budget in a supportive, inclusive culture.

The role requires strong experience with Treasury Better Business Case, MS365 tools, Agile delivery, and vendor management, with a focus on delivering public sector digital outcomes in Aotearoa NZ.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in large and complex organisations.
• Experience leading project teams to deliver on time and within budget in an Agile context.
• Strong ability to write detailed business cases using Treasury's Better Business Case.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of professionals to achieve project goals.
• Manage project budgets, risks, and issues, escalating when necessary.
• Represent the project for governance and steering committee activities.
• Provide timely and accurate project reports to stakeholders.
• Be responsible for release management.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships to become a trusted leader.
