Job summary

Westpac New Zealand Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to lead the evolution of OS image management and automation across enterprise infrastructure.

You will design and implement automated OS build and configuration management platforms, and enhance our Image Factory to deliver secure, standardised platforms for on-prem and cloud services. We value expertise in end-to-end automation, Windows and Linux build standards, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Must have strong experience in infrastructure/platform engineering environments.
• Experience delivering end-to-end automation from requirements to deployment and ops support.
• Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux OS build standards, provisioning, patching, upgrades, and compliance.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and config mgmt tools (Packer, Terraform, Ansible).
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.
• Experience with Git and collaboration platforms (GitHub/Bitbucket).
• CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, CloudBees, GitLab CI and Azure DevOps.
• Experience supporting highly available, secure enterprise platforms.
• Relevant IT/Engineering/CS degree.
