Job summary

Westpac New Zealand Ltd in Auckland is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the platforms underpinning critical reconciliation and operational processes.

You will maintain stability, resilience and performance of the Transaction Lifecycle Management and RecOps platforms, and partner with operational teams, technology stakeholders and vendors to resolve complex issues while driving automation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Application Support, Platform Support or Systems Engineering roles.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• SQL and database experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications across cloud, SaaS and on-premises.
• Understanding operational support practices including incident, problem and change management.
• Experience in risk, compliance and operational resilience environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Automation mindset with a passion for innovation.
• PowerShell or Python scripting experience.
• ITIL certification or similar industry qualifications.
