Job summary

Kiwibank is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Digital Workplace Security Services team. Based in central Auckland or Wellington, you will build and operate secure platforms, mentor engineers, and drive delivery of enterprise security capabilities across the bank's people, data, and technology landscape.

You will lead technical ownership, collaborate with the Lead Engineer and Product Lead, and contribute to design decisions while maintaining an on-call component.

Qualifications

• Experience with identity governance in large or complex environments
• Hands-on design, implementation, and operation of PAM capabilities
• Cloud infrastructure work with Terraform and Git; API integrations to improve platform
• Ability to work in Agile or DevOps environments; collaboration with engineers
• Strong security mindset; work with information security and data governance teams
• Experience sharing knowledge and growing engineering capability
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language
• Experience in agile delivery and contributing to larger initiatives

Responsibilities

• Lead technical contributions to secure platforms influencing people, data and technology
• Support engineers and ensure quality delivery with hands-on design and implementation
• Collaborate with Lead Engineer and Product Lead to deliver planned work across security platforms
• Automate repeatable tasks and improve reliability at scale
• Communicate complex topics clearly to diverse stakeholders
• Contribute to engineering capability growth and best practices
