Job summary

ASB Bank is seeking a Systems Specialist to join the Digital Workplace Platform team. You will maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, drive patching improvements, and contribute to automation initiatives while reducing manual work.

You will work across modern infrastructure, platform tooling and operational technologies to ensure critical services stay secure, reliable and available. Hybrid working arrangements are offered, with opportunities to influence platform modernization.

Qualifications

• Strong experience administering and supporting Windows Server environments.
• Solid Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience with Ansible and infrastructure automation tools.
• Experience with Octopus Deploy or similar deployment and release management platforms.
• Scripting capability using PowerShell or similar technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting technology services within a complex enterprise environment.
• Understanding of operational risk, service reliability and platform support practices.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Manage and improve platform patching activities to ensure services remain secure and resilient.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Contribute to service reliability, availability and performance.
• Use automation and scripting to simplify manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Assist with testing and validation activities to ensure platform changes are successfully implemented.
• Support platform tooling and operational processes across the Digital Workplace Platform environment.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams and technology stakeholders to deliver service improvements.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Share knowledge and contribute to a culture of learning and collaboration across the team.
