Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Principal Account Executive for National Security & Defence (NSD) in New Zealand. This role requires deep expertise in defence sectors, security clearances, and senior stakeholder engagement to deliver strategic cloud solutions tailored for New Zealand while interoperable with Australian teams.

You will lead critical NSD sales initiatives, partner with government leaders, and shape long-term GS/defence cloud strategies.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional or military experience.
• 8+ years of technology sales, or 5+ years in technology sales.
• Experience with government procurement and contracting.
• Experience with C-level sales and strategic partnership building.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments with urgency and direction.

Responsibilities

• Set and deliver the vision, strategy, and results when problems or opportunities are not defined.
• Lead others as a subject matter expert on large, challenging initiatives.
• Distill inputs from diverse stakeholders to design long-term solutions.
