Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Principal Account Executive for the National Security & Defence sector within Public Sector Sales in New Zealand, based in Wellington. You will bring deep defence domain knowledge, manage high-level government relationships, and maintain security clearances to deliver interoperable cloud solutions with NZ partners.

You will lead strategic engagements, shape long-term roadmaps, and drive outcomes across programs, balancing risk, resources, and customer needs

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional or military experience.
• 8+ years of technology sales experience, or 5+ years with a proven track record.
• Experience with government procurement and contracting processes.
• Experience with C-level sales and strategic partnership building.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set and deliver the vision, strategy, and results for undefined problems.
• Lead as a subject matter expert on large initiatives and guide teams.
