Contact Energy Ltd. is seeking a Senior Engineer – Mechanical to support the safe, reliable operation of its hydro generation assets. You will work with asset, operations and project teams to influence maintenance strategies, project delivery and lifecycle decisions.

Ideal candidates will have engineering qualifications and experience with rotating equipment, condition monitoring, and asset lifecycle management in heavy industrial environments. Collaboration and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced mechanical engineer with asset safety and reliability focus.
• Experience in heavy industrial or power generation environments.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, reliable operation of hydro assets.
• Balance Opex and Capex projects and plan maintenance.
• Investigate plant issues and guide long-term asset management plans.
