Job summary

Contact Energy Ltd seeks a Senior Engineer – Mechanical to support the safe, reliable operation of hydro generation assets. You’ll influence asset management, maintenance strategies, and project delivery across teams, balancing big-picture thinking with practical problem-solving.

You’ll coordinate Opex and Capex projects, investigate plant issues, and guide long-term asset management plans to ensure plant performance over its lifecycle.

Qualifications

• We’re ideally looking for someone with a relevant engineering qualification and strong experience in heavy industrial or power generation environments.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, condition monitoring and asset lifecycle management.
• Experience coordinating projects and contributing to asset management strategies; investigations are valuable.
