Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Internal Communications Specialist for a large manufacturing client in Queenstown. The role focuses on developing and executing internal communication strategies to inform and engage employees across levels, with a hybrid work arrangement balancing office collaboration and solo tasks.

You will craft messages, manage intranet content and support change management initiatives, mergers, and acquisitions, while measuring impact and maintaining brand voice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in internal or corporate communications.
• Proven ability to develop and execute internal communication plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with digital tools for internal comms (intranet, collaboration platforms, email marketing).
• Strong change management knowledge and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement internal communication strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Create engaging content for internal channels such as newsletters, intranet articles, emails, and town hall presentations.
• Manage and optimize the employee intranet to ensure accessible information.
• Support change management initiatives, mergers, and acquisitions.
• Plan and execute employee engagement activities and events.
• Measure effectiveness of internal communications and gather feedback.
• Ensure consistent brand messaging and tone across internal communications.
• Collaborate with HR, leadership and other departments to disseminate information.
• Advise management on best practices for internal communication.
• Maintain a calendar of internal communication activities.
