Job summary

New Zealand Government’s Historic Claims unit seeks a Senior Information Coordinator in Wellington to manage release of claimant information under legal frameworks. You will help applicants understand past experiences and ensure releases comply with privacy and information acts.

You will also support induction, training, and occasional project management to strengthen team capability in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Official Information Act and Privacy Act 2020.
• Tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Proven competency with MS Office Suite and records management systems.
• Strong relationship management abilities.
• Ability to prioritise work with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated client-focused, administrative and corporate advisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Read, review and release claimants' personal information in compliance with legislation.
• Ensure information releases provide crucial insight into past experiences in care.
• Support induction and training of new Information Coordination staff.
• Take on project management roles and participate in exercises to strengthen team capability.
