Ministry of Social Development seeks a Senior Information Coordinator to read, review and release claimants’ personal information in line with privacy and information laws. You will support training for new staff, take on project management tasks and contribute to strengthening team capability in a collaborative environment.

The role requires strong written and oral communication, empathy for clients, and the ability to manage relationships across the organisation while ensuring accurate records

Qualifikationen

• Working knowledge of Official Information Act, Privacy Act 2020, Oranga Tamariki Act 1989, and the Children’s and Young People’s Wellbeing Act 1989.
• A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Proven competency with MS Office Suite and records management systems.
• Relationship management ability.
• Able to prioritise work to achieve results with attention to detail.
• Exemplary standard of written and oral communication.
• Demonstrated excellence in the provision of client focused, administrative and corporate advice and services to managers and staff.
• Ability to demonstrate empathy, and understand client needs, concerns and priorities.

Aufgaben

• Read, review and release claimants’ personal information in compliance with relevant legislation, including privacy laws.
• Ensure information releases comply with Official Information Act and Privacy Act requirements.
• Support induction and training of new Information Coordination staff and take on project management roles.
• Participate in exercises to review and strengthen team capability and maintain a collaborative workplace culture.
