Job summary

The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) invites applications for a Senior Information Management Advisor based in Wellington, with a focus on ensuring good information practices across business services and solution design. You will work with the IPS Group within Organisational Assurance and Communications to support change and deliver key activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with designing and maintaining M365/SharePoint with lifecycle management.
• Ability to provide pragmatic advice in complex information landscapes.
• Provide technical and by-design advice to build good information practices into solution design.
• Experience in information management risk assessment and assurance on complex solutions.
• Experience migrating Objective to M365/SharePoint.
• Strong knowledge of statutes and regulations including the Public Records Act 2005.
• Ability to develop and implement Information policies, standards, frameworks, and training.
• Ability to interpret Disposal Authorities into SharePoint retention policies.
• Strong relationship management to influence fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Apply pragmatic information management solutions to complex issues.
• Experience applying technical expertise in a flexible, agile way.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain M365 (SharePoint) with lifecycle management.
• Provide pragmatic advice in complex information landscapes.

• Migrate Objective to M365 (SharePoint).
• Ensure compliance with statutes and regulations including the Public Records Act 2005.
• Develop, maintain, and implement information policies, standards, frameworks, guidance, training, and processes.
• Interpret Disposal Authorities into SharePoint retention policies.
• Influence the implementation of fit-for-purpose business solutions.
• Apply pragmatic information management solutions to complex issues.
• Apply technical expertise in a flexible, agile way.
