Job summary

Datacom in Hamilton is seeking a Solution Architect to join our Managed Operations – Modern Platforms capability. You’ll design and deliver transformative IT solutions that help our customers modernise, mature and optimise their IT environments.

You’ll partner with sales, delivery, and service teams, shaping complex infrastructure transformations across Microsoft, Oracle, cloud and hybrid platforms to drive better business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience designing, installing, and/or supporting Microsoft, Oracle or VMware solutions.
• 1–5 years' experience in scoping and pricing Infrastructure or Cloud based project services engagements.
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud (Azure), Microsoft 365, and on-premises to cloud migrations.
• Proven experience producing ROMs, SOWs, proposals, and high-level design documents.
• Commercial acumen and experience pricing project and managed service engagements.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead presales workshops and consultations to shape technical solutions aligned to business outcomes.
• Produce Statements of Work (SOWs), proposals, and ROM documents that are commercially sound and technically robust.
• Build and present solution designs for Datacom’s Managed Operations products and services.
• Lead solutioning and pricing elements for bids and RFP responses across multi-service opportunities.
• Partner with delivery and engineering teams to ensure seamless execution of designed solutions.
• Engage with vendors to secure pricing, build partnerships, and stay ahead of evolving technologies.
• Mentor and support architects and engineers in their technical growth while identifying new opportunities.
