Job summary
Datacom in Hamilton, New Zealand, is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, implement, and operate enterprise infrastructure and cloud solutions for diverse clients. You will focus on automation, scalability, and reliable service delivery.
You will work across Windows Server, Azure, and hybrid cloud, applying strong technical skills and stakeholder communication to drive improvements and ensure high availability.
Qualifications
- 6+ years' experience in systems engineering, infrastructure support, professional services, or managed services.
- Strong technical expertise across Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Entra ID, Enterprise Applications, WAFs, and related infra tech.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and private/public cloud provisioning and automation.
- Solid scripting and automation capabilities; ability to streamline operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms.
- Drive automation-first initiatives to improve customer experience and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, virtualization, OS, and productivity platforms.
- Provide technical guidance and collaborate across teams on roadmaps and service improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure change management and security best practices.
