Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific is seeking a Facility Manager in Hamilton, New Zealand to oversee and optimize facility operations, ensuring a safe, cost-effective environment for site employees and activities.

The role requires strong organizational, technical, and leadership capabilities, with responsibility for planning, maintenance, vendor relations, and cost control across hard and soft services.

Qualifications

• College degree or above with focus on business, technical or management areas.
• Minimum four years of related experience and/or training; supervisory experience preferred.
• Facility Management certification is preferred.
• Experience in budgeting, vendor management and contract administration is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Strategic planning to achieve KPIs and optimize efficiency.
• Oversee daily facility operations and ensure service quality and user satisfaction.
• Plan and manage soft services (reception, security, cleaning, catering, waste, parking).
• Coordinate repair and maintenance with technicians and external vendors; review work orders for quality and timeliness.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program; manage MAC activities.
• Manage budgets, contracts, purchasing, quotes, and cost control.
• Develop positive client and vendor relationships; ensure EH&S compliance.
