Job summary

New Era Technology is seeking a Senior AV Installation Technician to deliver AV, UC, and video conferencing solutions across client sites in Auckland. The role is onsite with occasional travel, 40 hours per week, and includes a company vehicle.

You’ll install, commission, and support projects from design through to documentation, acting as a technical escalation point for the Service Desk. We’re looking for 2-5 years in AV/UC roles, strong troubleshooting and customer service, and experience

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience in AV installation or related technical role.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work on-site across Auckland and at client sites.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company professionally and deliver exceptional customer service, building strong client relationships.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including timesheets and as-built docs.
• Support pre-sales activities with technical advice and input into design.
• Prepare, configure, install, and commission AV, UC, and video conferencing solutions per project requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers on system integration, testing, and delivery.
• Ensure installations meet quality, safety, and customer expectations; validate performance.
• Act as escalation point for Service Desk, with remote and on-site support.
• Manage service requests, coordinate manufacturer escalations, maintain service records.
• Uphold health, safety, and compliance; maintain site certifications.
