Job summary

Norwood is seeking a driven Sales Representative to join the Te Awamutu team. You will represent leading brands, manage your own territory, and help farmers and contractors find the right machinery to get the job done.

Based at the Te Awamutu dealership, you’ll build genuine relationships, work with an experienced team, and make a real impact on customers and the business. This role offers a clear pathway for career progression within Norwood.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years sales experience; AG/CE knowledge an advantage but not necessary.
• Well-established network within farming, rural, or construction communities.
• Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills.
• Solid computer skills; experience with CRM systems and ability to learn new tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage full sales process from prospecting to closing and ongoing customer support.
• Promote and sell Norwood's agricultural and construction equipment.
• Build and maintain relationships with farmers, contractors, and rural businesses.
• Identify opportunities to grow market share and develop new business.
• Provide expert advice and practical solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, products and market developments.

About the role

Based at our Te Awamutu dealership, you'll represent some of the world's leading agricultural and construction equipment brands, including Kubota, Landini, and Kuhn.

This role is about more than selling equipment. It's about understanding your customers, building genuine relationships, and helping farmers, contractors, and business owners find the right machinery to get the job done. You will have the freedom to manage your territory, the support of an experienced team behind you, and the opportunity to make a real impact for customers and the wider business.

What you will do

In this role, you'll proactively identify new business opportunities, grow your customer base, and strengthen existing partnerships that drive repeat business and customer loyalty. Working alongside a supportive and experienced team, you'll help customers maximise productivity while contributing to the continued success and growth of Norwood.

Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Managing the full sales process, from prospecting and lead generation through to closing the sale and ongoing customer support.
• Promoting and selling Norwood's range of agricultural and construction equipment.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, contractors, and rural businesses.
• Identifying opportunities to grow market share and develop new business.
• Providing expert advice and practical solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Keeping up to date with industry trends, products, and market developments.
• Working closely with our Parts and Service teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  

What you will bring

You're someone who enjoys getting out and meeting people, building trust, and helping customers find the right solution.

You will have:

• A minimum of 5 years sales exp required, AG/CE knowledge an advantage but not necessary
• A well-established network within the farming, rural, or construction community is highly desirable.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to foster professional relationships with your peers.
• Solid computer skills, including experience with CRM systems and the ability to learn new tools and software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
