Job summary

East Coast Packaging – Hastings, North Island, is seeking a Sales Administrator to be the first contact for customers, handling enquiries, quotes and orders. You’ll identify opportunities, convert leads to sales, and support account growth in a small, fast-paced team.

The role requires proven sales success, strong communication, and IT/numerical accuracy. NZ working rights are essential; a driver licence is required, forklift licence is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional customer service while actively generating new sales.

As our Sales Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for many of our customers, assisting them with enquiries, quotes, and orders. This role requires someone with a proven and successful background in sales who is confident identifying opportunities, converting enquiries into sales, and building long-term customer relationships. New business development skills are desirable and will be valuable in helping us grow our customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Delivering professional customer service while actively generating new sales

• The confidence and initiative to identify and pursue sales opportunities
• New business development skills and experience — desirable
• Account management and e-commerce experience — highly preferred
• Proven IT proficiency and strong numerical accuracy
• A valid New Zealand driver licence
• A forklift licence — beneficial
