Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Rostering Training Specialist in Auckland to join the Northern region team. The role focuses on training, system support, and continuous improvement for the Mahi ē Taea workforce management system.

You will become a subject matter expert, supporting managers and staff with timecards and rostering processes, while contributing to system enhancements and training material development.

Qualifications

  • A relevant qualification and/or at least 3 years of experience in workforce systems, payroll, rostering, or a related field.
  • Experience with award interpretation systems and workforce management processes.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and a proficient level of technical expertise.
  • Confident training users of a system.
  • Tech-savvy and adaptable to change.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a focus on customer support and service delivery.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and delivering positive outcomes for users.
  • Experience with UKG Workforce Pro, UKG Dimensions, Kronos Workforce Central, or similar rostering systems, plus knowledge of Holidays Act 2003, advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline support to managers and employees using Mahi ē Taea (UKG Pro WFM).
  • Triage system queries, identify recurring issues, and contribute to system improvements.
  • Develop training sessions, materials, user guides, and support resources.
  • Assist with fortnightly pay run checking and ensure successful adoption of the workforce system.
  • Collaborate with payroll, project, and rostering teams to optimise system use.
