Hato Hone St John in Howick is seeking an experienced retail manager to lead our Sunday shift. This permanent part-time role offers variety, autonomy and the chance to make a real community impact.

You will oversee store operations, drive sales targets, manage volunteers, and help promote the store within the local community while ensuring exceptional customer service.

Are you an experienced retail manager with a genuine passion for community and a drive to achieve? We are searching for a dynamic leader to take charge of our vibrant Howick store. This exciting Sunday role offers plenty of variety and autonomy, providing you with the opportunity to make a real positive impact!

This role is permanent part-time role working Sunday each week from 9:30am - 2:30pm.

Ideally you would also be available to cover for the Store Manager on other days of the week, if required.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• At least 2 years of solid experience in retail management, visual merchandising and an interest in second-hand goods
• Proven experience successfully managing a high-performingteam
• A highly motivated, proactive “can-do” attitude that drives you to identify and act on opportunities for improvement
• A results-focused mindset, with a passion for success and achieving set targets
• Ability to recruit, lead and motivate volunteers
• Great relationship building skills and strong community focus
• Be at least 18 years of age and have full eligibility to work in New Zealand.
