New Zealand Red Cross in Mount Maunganui is seeking an experienced Assistant Shop Manager for a part-time, 19-hour week. This busy retail environment requires someone who thrives on hustle, keeps the shop inviting, and supports the team day to day as the 2IC when the Shop Manager is away.
You will focus on delivering excellent customer service, merchandising, stock preparation, till operations, and safety with volunteers, helping to grow sales while maintaining a welcoming community shop.

We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Shop Manager to join our vibrant Mount Maunganui shop. This is a fun, fast-moving retail environment that gets especially busy over the summer months, so you’ll be someone who enjoys a bit of hustle, takes pride in keeping the shop looking fresh and inviting, and has a good eye for quality clothing labels. You’ll help create a great shopping experience for customers, support the team day to day, and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. As our 2IC, you’ll also step in when the Shop Manager is away to delegate tasks, support sales performance, and help maintain a safe, positive and welcoming environment for everyone.
