Job summary

Avani Queenstown Hotel is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to oversee and support the food & beverage team, ensuring seamless operations and top-quality guest experiences on a full-time basis.

The role requires hands-on F&B supervision experience, strong hospitality knowledge, and excellent communication and leadership skills. You will work a rotating roster including weekends, with a minimum of 30 hours per week in Queenstown, NZ.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a food and beverage or restaurant supervision environment.
• Alcohol knowledge is preferred but not essential.
• Proven supervisory or leadership experience in a F&B environment.
• Strong understanding of hospitality operations and high-quality service delivery.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional presentation and the ability to lead by example.
• Reliability and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serving food and beverages to guests in the hotel and restaurant, ensuring professional and attentive service.
• Leads, motivates, and coaches the Food & Beverage team to deliver consistent service standards.
• Monitors service quality and ensuring consistency across all shifts and service periods.
• Manages guest enquiries and resolves service issues promptly and professionally.
• Supports inventory management, stock control, and day-to-day Food & Beverage operations.
• Works closely with management to maintain high-quality service and efficient daily operations.
