Avani Queenstown Hotel in Queenstown, New Zealand is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to oversee and support the food & beverage team for seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences. The role is full-time with a rotating roster across breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of hands-on F&B supervision experience, strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of directly relevant hands-on experience in a food and beverage or restaurant supervision environment
• Solid understanding of alcohol (preferred but not essential)
• Proven supervisory or leadership experience in a food and beverage environment
• Strong understanding of hospitality operations and high-quality service delivery
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Professional presentation and the ability to lead by example
• Reliability and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests in the hotel and restaurant with professional service
• Lead, motivate, and coaches the Food & Beverage team to deliver consistent service standards
• Monitor service quality and ensure consistency across all shifts and service periods
• Manage guest inquiries and resolve service issues promptly and professionally
• Support inventory management, stock control, and day-to-day Food & Beverage operations
• Work closely with management to maintain high-quality service and efficient daily operations
