Job summary

Idly Sambar is seeking a Restaurant Manager for a permanent full-time role in Kingsland, Auckland. The successful candidate will lead a small front-of-house team, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure high standards of service and compliance. A current Duty Manager certificate, LCQ, and Level 7 management qualification are preferred.

Strong English and reliable rostering skills are essential. We offer competitive hourly pay of $32–$35 with a guaranteed 32–40 hours per week, a stable full-time

Qualifications

• 3+ years of restaurant/hospitality experience.
• Current Duty Manager Certificate.
• LCQ (Licence Controller Qualification).
• Level 7 qualification in Management.
• Fluent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar.
• Lead, supervise and support a small front-of-house team.
• Prepare staff rosters and coordinate daily shifts.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and guest experience.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, food safety and workplace procedures.
• Manage customer enquiries, feedback and complaints.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
• Work closely with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service.
• Foster a positive, professional and efficient team environment.
