Candidates should have 2+ years in catering/retail or a Level 4 Certificate or a Bachelor degree. NZ residency or work rights are required; salary is 27–32 NZD per hour for 30–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in catering/retail industry or relevant Level 4 Certificate or Bachelor degree in any field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of restaurant staff to ensure smooth operation.
• Manage and optimize restaurant resources including staffing, inventory, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing requirements.
• Train and mentor staff on customer service, food preparation techniques and restaurant policies.
• Monitor quality of food, presentation and service to uphold restaurant reputation for excellence.
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Assist in developing marketing and promotional strategies to attract and retain customers.
• Manage reservations, seating, and waitlists to optimize table turnover.
• Collaborate with owner, head chef and management to implement policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards.
