About the role:

A restaurant attached to a hotel in Kaik ura is looking for an experienced Restaurant & Bar Manager to join their team ahead of the busy summer season.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is confident managing a restaurant and bar, leading a team, and providing excellent service to international guests.

Requirements

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and bar
• Lead, support and give clear direction to the team
• Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness and hygiene
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally
• Oversee responsible service and handling of alcohol
• Help ensure the restaurant and bar operate smoothly during busy periods
• Ideally 3+ years' experience in a senior restaurant, bar or hospitality management role
• Good spoken English and confident communication skills
• Comfortable leading a team and giving clear instructions
• Confident dealing with customers and resolving complaints
• Experience working with alcohol and managing a bar
• Mature, reliable and able to work independently
• Comfortable living and working in a smaller, more isolated location such as Kaik ura
• Overseas candidates are encouraged to applyas required by business needs.
