Job summary

Manurewa East School in Manurewa, South Auckland, invites applications for two Resource Teacher Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) positions. This full-time, permanent role sits within Te Huinga Raukura ki Manurewa RTLB Cluster 12, delivering learning and behaviour support across 33 kura and schools.

We seek experienced, reflective teachers with a current NZ practising certificate who can build mana-enhancing relationships with ākonga, whānau and kaiako.

Qualifications

• Hold a current full New Zealand practising certificate and have strong teaching experience.
• Build respectful, mana-enhancing relationships with ākonga, whānau, kaiako and school communities.
• Demonstrate culturally responsive practice and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Have sound knowledge of inclusive education, neurodiversity and diverse learning and behavioural needs.
• Understand evidence-informed teaching approaches, including the Science of Learning.
• Have up-to-date curriculum knowledge and experience in NZ school settings.
• Work effectively across individual, group and systems-level contexts to build teacher and school capability.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support learning, engagement, participation and wellbeing of ākonga.
• Collaborate with kaiako, school leaders, whānau and other professionals to strengthen inclusive practice.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our collaborative and experienced RTLB team in Manurewa, South Auckland.

Te Huinga Raukura ki Manurewa, RTLB Cluster 12 provides learning and behaviour support across 33 kura and schools within our diverse Manurewa community. We work alongside kaiako, school leaders, whānau and other professionals to strengthen inclusive practice and improve outcomes for ākonga.

We are seeking experienced, reflective and collaborative trained RTLB or teachers who are passionate about supporting the learning, engagement, participation and wellbeing of ākonga.

Successful applicants will:

• hold a current full New Zealand practising certificate and have strong teaching experience
• build respectful, mana-enhancing relationships with ākonga, whānau, kaiako and school communities

Applicants without the required RTLB specialist qualification must be eligible and willing to undertake the Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Teaching (Learning and Behaviour) through Massey University.
