Job summary

Pukekohe Intermediate in Auckland seeks dynamic RTLB educators to join our team for 2027. This role targets teachers with leadership, initiative and strong organisation who can operate across a cluster of schools.

As an itinerant RTLB, you will influence practice, build teacher capability and contribute to positive change across 69 schools from Awhitu to Kaiaua, with two service teams. Strong literacy, numeracy support and neurodiverse learner expertise are valued.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and ability to influence others (in a school context).
• Exceptional time management, organisation and self-management.
• Initiative, energy and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Strong literacy and numeracy teaching practice at NZ Curriculum Levels 1–2.
• Specialist skills in supporting neurodiverse learners.
• Collaborative, culturally responsive, evidence-informed and strengths-based practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build effective partnerships.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a high-functioning team.
• Reflective, adaptable and committed to ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Join the RTLB team for 2027 and contribute across schools.
• Influence practice and build teacher capability across schools.
• Support 69 schools across a large geographic area from Awhitu Peninsula to Kaiaua.
• Contribute to cluster-wide projects and initiatives.
• Demonstrate strong time management and self-management while working itinerantly.
