Job summary

Papatoetoe Intermediate is seeking a skilled teacher to join RTLB Cluster 10 on a fixed-term basis for 2027, covering an RTLB who will be on refreshment leave. Start date 28 January 2027; End Date 9 December 2027, with potential 0.6 FTTE for the right candidate.

The cluster serves Ōtara and Papatoetoe communities. The successful applicant will work with Years 1–8, bringing strong classroom practice, knowledge of structured literacy and the NZ Curriculum, and a commitment to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Full New Zealand teacher registration and a current practising certificate.
• Recent New Zealand teaching experience.

Are you looking for a change or an opportunity to try something different in your teaching career? Manawanui RTLB Cluster 10 is seeking a skilled teacher to join our RTLB team on a fixed-term basis for 2027, covering an RTLB who will be on refreshment leave.

The position may be available on a part-time basis of 0.6 FTTE or above for the right candidate.

Manawanui Cluster 10 serves the diverse communities of Ōtara and Papatoetoe. Strong cultural capability and the ability to work effectively with Māori and Pacific learners, whānau and communities are important for this role.

We are looking for someone who:

• has strong and current classroom practice, including experience with structured literacy and structured approaches to mathematics
• has recent New Zealand teaching experience and a sound understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum
• is passionate about inclusive education and building teacher capability.
• brings leadership, coaching and/or mentoring skills
• is flexible, adaptable and committed to providing a high-quality service.
• Full New Zealand teacher registration and a current practising certificate.
• The right to work in New Zealand.
• A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Recent New Zealand teaching experience.
