Job summary

SIXT New Zealand is seeking a motivated Rental Sales Agent for a fixed-term summer season. You will be the face of SIXT, delivering exceptional service while identifying opportunities to upsell premium products. You’ll help customers choose the right vehicle and extras, contributing to branch sales targets.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, customer-facing role with a focus on achieving sales goals, coordinating with teams, and delivering seamless experiences for customers across channels.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and persuasive selling skills

• Confidence in identifying sales opportunities and closing deals
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in customer service or sales (retail, hospitality, or travel/tourism sectors preferred)

Responsibilities

• Proactively promoting and selling rental upgrades, protection packages, and additional services
• Welcoming and engaging with customers in person, over the phone, and via email
• Meeting and exceeding individual and team sales KPIs (e.g. revenue per rental, conversion rates)
• Processing reservations, managing customer accounts, and ensuring accurate documentation
• Collaborating with branch and regional teams to ensure seamless customer experiences
• Supporting operational excellence and contributing to a positive team culture

This is a fixed-term role for our Summer season

Based at one of our busy branches, you'll be the face of SIXT—delivering exceptional service while actively identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell our premium products. Whether it’s recommending the perfect vehicle for a South Island road trip, offering upgrades, or promoting value-added extras like GPS, insurance packages, or child seats, you’ll play a key role in helping customers get the most out of their journey while contributing to branch sales targets.

Your key responsibilities will include:
