Job summary

Procore Technologies is seeking an Associate Operations Manager to operate robots remotely, analyze data, and optimize AI-driven workflows. You’ll bridge operations, product, and engineering for high-value robotics deployments on construction sites. The role requires in-office collaboration in Auckland, NZ, three days a week, with some travel and U.S.

time zone overlap. You’ll report to the Robotics team Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to coordinate distributed or remote teams.
• Experience operating robots with controllers/gamepads
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Detail-oriented with risk mitigation mindset.
• Interest in emerging technology and AI-driven workflows.
• Familiarity with basic scripting or dashboard tools.
• Understanding of construction project workflows.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor robots remotely to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient task completion on customer sites.
• Troubleshoot robot issues with shell/terminal basics and escalate to engineering when needed.
• Translate frontline observations into actionable feature improvements for product and engineering discussions.
• Lead daily operational planning, task tracking, and metric reporting to stakeholders.
• Create and maintain operational playbooks and knowledge bases for repeatable processes.
• Collaborate with site teams and customers to resolve blockers and ensure site safety.
• Identify gaps between product design and real-world usage to guide enhancements.
